Entrepreneur Relawati HMS – The Pioneer of “Serial Entrepreneur” Spirit

Singapore is one of the markets that has high increase of start-ups in the world. As a result, the business market in Singapore is very fierce. However, there is an outstanding pioneer in “Serial Entrepreneurs” community gathering women entrepreneurs who are admired for their abilities to manage a lot of companies and corporations, aspiring to become the business owners. Entrepreneur Relawati HMS has established 7 large companies in Singapore. She is also the female leaders nominated at Honoring Ceremony of Top 50 Asia-Pacific Women Leaders Awards 2018. Reporter of wlin.vn had a conversation to understand more about this talented woman.

Could you please introduce a little bit about yourself?

My name is Relawati HMS, I am a Business Entrepreneur from Singapore. Currently I am the Director of Artelier Innovate Pte Ltd, a Business Consultation Services and Director of Hungry Boss Pte Ltd, a F&B Mobile Application Provider. I am also the President of HAA – Hope & Aspiration Association, that support Social Entrepreneurship.

Could you please share with us about your present business field? How was your entrepreneurial path?

I have established an extensive Business Network with Governmental Agencies, Corporations and the Media. It is bringing my vast experience and knowledge in my present Business Consultancy and Management. I am very well versed with the Information, Technology & Digital Marketing so I am very well connected in this area. I started my entrepreneurial path in my twenties in Malaysia. It was a rollercoaster between Singapore and Malaysia and it did help build my strength in the Business arena because I am dealing in Government projects.

What is your business philosophy? What are the advantages/strengths of your company in the market?

My business philosophy is very simple. Because of my experience in business I like to assist and support and share to those who wants to start a business or already in it to empower them with knowledge so that it can shorten their Learning Curve. I strongly belief the very act of giving back to the community boosts your happiness, health, and sense of well-being. Volunteering your time, money, or energy to help others doesn’t just make the world better – it also makes you better.

Could you please share some difficulties that you have to face with in business, and how did you overcome them?

All businesses face difficulties and I had my share of challenges in my business life. I can share that in such times, family and friends are your best support, not in terms of finance but in terms of love and care. This is what strengthens me to work on solutions and with the vast network of close business friends and associates, I worked on win-win solutions with them in overcoming my challenges. I think when you are sincere with your Intentions all obstacles can be overcome. I believe that networking is essential for expanding your business because it helps to connects you to others and helps advance your career. My key suggestion, in such matters is that no matter how smart you are, humbleness, gratitude and sincerity are key to your business life.

Could you name some achievements that both individual and the company have gained in your business? Your contribution to the community and society?

I became a “Serial Entrepreneur” having 7 companies under me. It was Fun and a Learning experience for me. Having experience doing business in other country also help to widen my knowledge on other country’s processes. I was also a volunteer as a Grassroots Leader and appointed Chairman and served in various Grassroots Organization. Volunteering brings fun and fulfillment to my life. It is a great way to meet new people and strengthen your ties with the community. That’s why I started the Association so that my entrepreneurship experience can now help other business minded people.

Your plans, intention for the development of your company in the future?

For Artelier Innovate Pte Ltd, we want to work on a Strategic Business Partnership to provide Business Solutions to our Associates and expand their product and services internationally through Digital marketing.
As for Hungry Boss Pte Ltd, we are looking to expand this Innovative Mobile Application Solution for the Food and Beverage industry to other Asian Countries. We believe that this Disruptive Technology can save cost, create more revenue with ease and simplicity.

What are your perspectives about the role of Women Leaders in modern times?

Women’s roles are constantly evolving in our modern times however this does not mean that we should overtake the men. We need only to show our true sincere passion in what we can do and achieved especially in business and we should be respected. This is only possible when women are united as a community to support each other.

Which business areas/fields do you prefer to connect with in Vietnam market?

Because I am a Business Consultant myself, I would like to look for opportunity in Vietnam where I can connect my clients to the availability of businesses and looking for Strategic Business partner to share my business solutions to the Vietnam market especially my F&B Mobile Apps. Presently I am promoting (My Malaysia 2nd Home Program – MM2H) looking for Clients who wants to have a residency in Malaysia. I am also looking for established companies in Vietnam who wants to have solutions in Cost Effective Access to Capital Raising such as Listing, Stock Lending, Remittances and CIS.

What’s your opinion about the topic: “The Successful Women Leaders” & Honoring Ceremony of Top 50 Asia- Pacific Women Leaders Awards 2018? What’s your expectation of this year event?

Entrepreneurship offers women access to a unique kind of social and economic power as well as a self-sustaining financial independence. Leveraging on the Digital Economy will make a better life for themselves and their families. I hope in this Event that we Women getting together and network through each of us in our various fields of business can fully be benefiting from opportunities offered by digitalization and from being connected.
